A luxury family home with an indoor swimming pool has gone on the market and it costs less than a flat in London.

The four-bed detached house is for sale on Zoopla for £349,995 and is ideal for swimmers who miss having a dip at their local pool or gym due to the lockdown.

According to Rightmove the average price of a flat in the capital last year was £558,686 so the house shows exceptional value for money at £208,691 less.

This house is a freehold property which means who ever buys the property also owns the land it stands on too.

But most flats and apartments in the UK are leasehold which means buyers don’t own the building or the land and can often be subjected to hefty maintenance charges and ground rent fees.

If the prospective owner of the house manages to complete the sale before March 31 they will be able to take advantage of the Chancellor’s stamp duty holiday on the first £500,000 of a property’s value.

This means they could save thousands of pounds.

The house is a former Sunday School to the nearby Etruria Methodist Church in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and still boasts some period features.

There’s an entrance hall, dining room, sitting room and kitchen downstairs in addition to a games room.

Upstairs the master bedroom has an en-suite plus there is a family bathroom while the swimming pool is at the back of the house.

To take a dip you need to go through the conservatory.

The pool is heated through a heat pump – powered by solar panels – and there is a separate show room where you can rinse off.

There property is double-glazed throughout with gas central heating and also offers a also a decent sized garden with a detached garage.

The seller aren’t waiting to buy another property which means there is no onward chain.

The house could sell for more than £349,995 as the sellers are seeking “offers in the region of” the price tag.

According to the Office for National Statistics the average property prices in England currently stands at £267,000.
